Main Sponsorship:

The need for proper education for thousands of children presently left without education and hopes for the future is much bigger than we can cover by ourselves.

We are in need of a main sponsor covering the larger part of our NGO's administrative and additional operational  expenses, covering improvements of supply for classes as well as expansions with at least 12 new centres to more than 9000 children by 2010. This will based on our plans for 2010 require extra funding of approximately M$ 800,000 or USD 240,000/EUR 158,000.

In times of financial crises these children are most vulnerable, and any company with a solid CSR policy will be most welcome to help us secure sustainable funding for our projects.

Please email to the project manager: info@borneochildaid.org or tvenning(at)gmail.com for more information.

A Cost Effective Education Program for underprivileged Children:

The total cost of running a Centre with 50 children is 2000 M$ (approximately USD 592/EUR 394) per month or 24000 M$ (Approximately USD 7100/ EUR 4700 ) per year (per october 2009). About the cost of education for just one single child per year in USA and most Western European countries.

                   OECD Figures:

(Thanks Michael K. Dalhoff, Journalist, Board Member: Malaysian Danish Association, www.expatnet.dk)

The total cost per child per month for providing these children with a basic education is only 40 M$ (USD 12/Euro 8).

We are still lacking sponsorships for hundreds of children. Funds donated to the project will be used for these children or for improving conditions for the children at our projects and for giving more of these underprivileged children a chance for an education.
